about

SUPER STOOPID ALERT - This is the antithesis of cool. I used to play this in the early 90s (it's from 1992) pitched down to -8. I dug it out again a couple of years back but even at -8 it is too fast for me. As Optimo we ask to have +/-16 turntables on our rider and pitched down to minus 16 this took on a whole new lease of life. It's aptly named as it is a "scream if you want to go faster" kind of tune that only truly makes sense mixed in at the right time to an up for it crowd. It has caused shrieks of delight all round the world. On the other side is "Twin Tub" from 1991 a homage to Larry Heard and Siouxsie Sioux and a UK Acid classic. Tony Boninsegna the man behind the tunes had a ton of aliases and released several early 90s classics on Luton's Chill label. I highly recommended checking out the Original Clique EPs if you get a chance. For this release, with Tony's blessing, the only change I have made is slow “Big Dipper" down by around 15bpm.
